2014 Q3 NU SKIN EXPO Hong Kong Session Ends Successfully

From September 5 to 6, NU SKIN EXPO, the most effective product launch platform in NU SKIN history, comes again. Hong Kong (Causeway Bay) session was all packed with people. Peoples came with great enthusiasm to know more and have deeper experience of the difference demonstrated by NU SKIN! This time more new elements have been added into EXPO, including V-shaped Face Experience booth which enables the participants to witness the extraordinary effect of ageLOC Tru Face Essence Ultra. Moreover, a new Star Creator Pack (ageLOC Facial & Body Spa) has also been launched during EXPO!

This was not the first time Church participated in EXPO, but this time he was so lucky to be chosen as a model for ageLOC Tru Face Essence Ultra demonstration in V-shaped Face Experience booth. Using ageLOC Tru Face Essence Ultra is not new to him as he has been a user already. But this is the first time for him to demonstrate the product as a model. At the beginning, the audience discussed actively about the effect of the product. When the demonstration started, our Educator applied ageLOC Tru Face Essence Ultra on his face and aided with simple hand movement, from the inside out and bottom up. When the demonstration was done, the outcome had stunned all of the audience. There was a huge difference between the skins of the two sides of the face, the side where ageLOC Tru Face Essence Ultra was appeared to firm up significantly. Church also felt satisfied with the results and assured that the product works. What's more, he also discovered a huge business opportunity behind this product. He determined to become a star so he could let more people recognize this platform, helping more people to improve their standard of living.

Professor David Ho – Changing The Future by Upholding Strong Beliefs

How does the power of beliefs change the future? 30 years ago, the first AIDS case was recognized in human history when Professor David Ho was an intern at a hospital. In the face of the unprecedented cunning and tough virus and seeing people suffering from AIDS, Professor David Ho started the research on AIDS virus for more than 30 years. We have invited Professor David Ho, who is now an authority in medical field, will give a presentation on "Belief, Determines the Future," to share with the business partners of how he confronts the AIDS virus, which is described as "the black plague" of the 21st century with strong belief and put power of beliefs into practice, to change the future of the HIV/AIDS patients, and make contribution to mankind.

In 1981, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported the first AIDS case. That was the first time Professor David Ho met face-to-face with AIDS virus. At that time, as an intern, Professor David Ho had a young patient who had symptoms of pneumonia and brain disease, as well as many different infections. One or two months before being admitted to the hospital, this patient didn't feel anything wrong with his health. When he was admitted to the hospital, he only showed very weak resistance against diseases and the doctors had no idea about what kind of disease he was suffering from. Of course, we know today that this is "AIDS" (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). After a few weeks, that young patient died. After another few weeks, another patient was admitted to the hospital with the same symptoms. A few weeks later, another five patients with the same symptoms were admitted to the hospital one after another. Professor David Ho perceived such disease may have impacts on human beings and took an oath to commit himself to researching on this syndrome in the hope of finding a cure for it.

When Professor David Ho determined to research on AIDS virus, many people tried to dissuade him from doing it and don't waste his time because what he was facing was a very tough and changeable virus and nobody knows whether there will be any results on the research. Besides, in early days, some scientists and doctors were even afraid of being infected and putting themselves in a risky environment if they made this kind of research. However, Professor David Ho said, "You do what you should do, not what you could do." Eventually, he insisted on his decision to research on AIDS virus. With his strong belief and persistence, Professor David Ho and his colleagues jointly invented the world renowned "cocktail therapy", which is now a therapy that can effectively resist AIDS virus and prolong patients' life. His contribution to HIV/AISD treatment made himself named "Man of the Year" for 1996 by Time Magazine, which has made this Chinese scientist known by the whole world.

Liu Pei-jing was born with the rare inherited disorder "hereditary epidermolysis bullosa" (EB), which is commonly known as "butterfly children". EB patients suffer from blisters or blood blisters wherever there are mucous membranes inside and outside of the body. The physical pains and mental suffering follow EB patients in their daily life like a shadow. Pei-jing used to think of giving up her life because of these pains. With the love of her family and the company of painting, Pei-jing gradually got through the valley of her life and comprehended the goodness of life. Even though when she tries to paint, Pei-jing often gets hurt due to the pulling or dragging of wounds and when she tries to open paint cans, it may cause blisters to the extent that she cannot squeeze the paint out, Pei-jing never becomes dejected because of this. and Creates Smiles during Mid-Autumn Festival

Since 2005, NU SKIN Hong Kong has been taking the initiative to support Children's Heart Foundation to help the children with congenital heart disease. To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, NU SKIN brought lanterns and NU SKIN "Force for Good" Love Bears to the kids who were suffering from congenital heart disease at Hospital on September 5, 2014. The kids were happy with the gifts and filled the wards with laughter.

NU SKIN Volunteer Team
Take HKSPC Kids to Enjoy the Lantern Show

On 10 September, 2014, anti-aging expert NU SKIN Volunteer Team with eight volunteers led 15 kids from the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC) , enjoyed the Lantern Show on the waterfront of Tsim Sha Tsui to share the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The kids with beautiful lanterns went to Tsim Sha Tsui by tourist bus. The kids were very excited when they saw so many different shapes of lanterns at the show. And they also learnt the stories of the lanterns by the volunteers. The NU SKIN Volunteer Team and the kids spent a wonderful and happy afternoon together!

The NU SKIN volunteers who participated in the activity were (listed in no particular order): Li Wai Ning(Captain), Wong Ho Yan (Vice Captain), Lau Wai Chun, Chung Lok Yee, Lai Yi Tak, Chow Chi Hoi, Wu Man, and Tang Wing Hing. The following is the volunteers' feeling about the activity:

"Thanks HKSPC for giving me an opportunity again to make some contribution which reminds me of how lucky my daughter is. I would also like to thank NU SKIN and my team." Li Wai Ning said.

"I am so happy to participate in the volunteer activity again. I hope that this simple activity can bring the kids a memorable afternoon," said Wong Ho Yan.

"This activity made me very happy. I further understand the role of mother is a difficult one through such an activity. I really hope that the kids would have a happy childhood," said Lau Wai Chun.

"It was pleasant to go out with the cute and lovely kids and enjoy the lantern show with them. We were very happy to see their happy faces. I hope NU SKIN can organize more similar activities in the future," said Chung Lok Yee.

"I had a very meaningful day. The children could be made happy with some simple things. They enjoyed our companionship and trusted us although we were strangers to them. I hope that they will grow up healthily and happily every day," said Lai Yi Tak.

"I experienced the passion of the pure and lovely children and learnt the responsibility of parents through the participation of this activity. I do hope the kids will build a healthy family in the future. I am grateful for having today's experience," said Chow Chi Hoi.

"I am very happy to take part in this activity. I hope that I would be able to meet the lovely kids again," said Wu Man.

"It was wonderful to participate in volunteer activities of NU SKIN! Not only was I able to bring joy to kids but I had a sense of satisfaction," said Tang Wing Hing.
