Patrick and Marguerite Sung from Potomac, Maryland, had a very tangible “why” that helped keep them motivated when they became distributors over 24 years ago: a new house. Although Marguerite was an IT department project supervisor of a major U.S. airline and Patrick was a senior legal counsel with a multinational oil company, they needed extra income to pay for the house. Every weekend they would go to the development to motivate themselves. “The new house was beckoning us to get moving in the business,” the Sungs say. “It was saying to us, ‘This is nice, isn’t it? You want to live here … you need to continue moving in NU SKIN.’”
And move forward they did. Eventually their NU SKIN income had grown to the point where Marguerite could leave her job. Later Patrick joined her full-time in the business. And even though they are now very successful, they feel very strongly that they must continue to lead by example. “We are still actively holding meetings to help distributors build their businesses, particularly in the Washington, DC, area,” they say. “Our goal is to make this area a hotbed for NU SKIN.”
Patrick and Marguerite have always been very dedicated to their business, to the point where Patrick was willing to put his face “on the line.” For four years he applied Celltrex® to one side of his face to show the difference the product can make—action that helped their business expand. Angela Mastaloudis, Ph.D.
Senior Scientist, Global Research and Development
PHARMANEX , NU SKIN
Dr. Angela Mastaloudis earned her master’s in nutrition science and her doctorate in exercise physiology and nutrition biochemistry from Oregon State University where she was a Linus Pauling Institute graduate fellow. She specializes in nutrition, exercise physiology and anti¬oxidant nutrients, and has published many research papers about oxidative stress and anti¬oxidant nutrients. Due to her excellent performance in the field of anti¬oxidant research, she was awarded the Lester Packer Young Inves¬tigator Award by the Oxygen Club of California in 2003.
Currently, Dr. Mastaloudis is a senior scientist in global research and development for Pharmanex. She endeavors to the development and optimization of Nu Skin’s leading products including LifePak®, Marine Omega, and g3 and promote the development of the products with ageLOC® science actively. She was an indispensable scientist in the research team of ageLOC® TR90™ Program, sparing no effort to continue to provide high quality innovative products. |

Technical Communication & Education Manager Personal Care, NU SKIN
KC Holley studied at Brigham Young University where she received a BS in Psychology Teaching and an MS in Sport Pedagogy.
She joined Nu Skin in 2004 and now works in Nu Skin Personal Care Research & Development as a Technical Communications & Education Manager.
Through her professional communication and training skill, she ensures and equips our company’s product experts with product and technical information to support distributors.
KC Holley has been with the company in various positions for almost ten years. As a part of the Research & Develop team for Personal Care, she has been involved in the launch of ageLOC® Galvanic Spa and Facial Gels, ageLOC® Transformation, ageLOC® Body Spa, and ageLOC® Tru Face Essence Ultra, and will continue to devote her effort for developing innovative and competitive personal care products for NU SKIN. |

Dale Kern
Senior Scientist, Global Research and Development, NU SKIN
Dale Kern brings over 30 years of experience in personal care development to his role as a Senior Scientist of NU SKIN Global Research and Development. Dale earned a Master of Science Degree (M.S.) in immunology from the Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and has a further education on the post-Masters course in physical biochemistry. He is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, the Product Development Management Association and the Licensing Executives Society.
Prior to joining NU SKIN in 1994, Dale was Senior Director of Marketing and Product Development at Hy Clone Laboratories. He has designed and built five R&D institutions, three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, provided consultation on numerous industrial, academic and regulatory projects and owns four U.S. (international) patents with many more in process.
Dale makes a significant contribution in the technology development and NU SKIN personal care products including the Epoch® series, the 180 product line and the Galvanic Spa System. He lined up the cooperation of the Nu Skin Center for Dermatological Research and the School of Medicine of a well-known university in America, and has been responsible for the safety and efficacy testing of NU SKIN personal care products. Dale is also responsible for the scientific evaluation of new skin care technologies for the further development on the more competitive NU SKIN personal care products in the market.

Spencer Choy
Spencer Choy operated retail and wholesale trade in Canada, although the business was doing well, it was always subjected to geographical restrictions. After he started the NU SKIN business, he was pleasantly surprised to find that NU SKIN career was not only an international career, but also constantly explored for more development space. With his perseverance, he and his wife Lily ascended different peaks in the NU SKIN career path. Now his career operations have been spread all over Europe, United States, the Asia-Pacific region and so forth for up to twenty countries, which lead him to be an admirable high-level leader.
Spencer set an example, so that partners can actively easily follow the pace of his success, and constantly transcended their own. He believed that "Let the people without confidence become self-confident, so that the impossible becomes possible, so that everyone has room for improvement in life. Looking ahead, Spence hopes he can help partners build on theirs strengths in the area of NU SKIN 3.0, and make more people enjoy a rich family life.

Ouyang Mei and Chen Xing are both from ordinary families and began their close friendship as colleagues at a real estate firm. Today, they are a pair of NU SKIN stars — still working together and supporting each other. Their uneventful yet interesting success stories kicked off in 2003 when they tried out some NU SKIN products recommended by their friend. At first, they used the skincare products out of curiosity and were impressed with the noticeable improvement over just a short period of time. When first joining NU SKIN, they did not set out to be a Circle Member. Motivated by the feeling of taking control of their own lives, they never regretted this career move and in 2010 entered the list of team elites, followed by more accomplishments in 2014. They believe that with determination, resilience and open-mindedness, NU SKIN can help every ordinary person find his/her own place and freedom of mind.

After ten years of military service, Chen developed a confidence, self-consciousness and a down-to-earth personality. He learnt what a true team building is. When he started working in government, he told himself that not only to work hard but to work smart. In order to have a better career advancement, he resigned as a civil servant and became the General Manager of a foreign enterprise in less than three years' time.
Growing up from a poor environment, Chen thinks that a high-paying job is not his only goal in life. He wants a stage that belongs to him. So he resigned and chose to work with NU SKIN in 2003. He became One Million Circle Member in 2007 and Five Million Circle Member in 2012. Also, he was a 4-Star PTE for five consecutive years in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. He thinks that the biggest mission in life is to help others to live happily and have success.

After graduating from Shenyang Sports University, Liang Jiuchun gave up the opportunity to become a teacher and moved to Tianjin alone to seek a career alternative. There he started working as a dealer for a number of food products with modest success. Then, through his friend He Lei, he came to know NU SKIN and was immediately attracted by its principles of “all of the good, none of the bad”. After a serious observation and study for half year, he understood the trend of healthy anti-aging industry and made up his mind in 2007 to start his NU SKIN career with the aim to promote happiness and success. 2014 Taiwan Olympic Run Exclusive Presents for NU SKIN Runners
2014 Taiwan Olympic Run will be held at Taiwan New Taipei Citizen Plaza on June 8. It was the 6th time NU SKIN being the chief Sponsor Enterprise and worked with the New Taipei Government to hold the Color Run. So far, all groups registration have completed. This year, it is estimated that there will be 12,000 runners . The number of NU SKIN runners also reached the record breaking 2,000 people. Let run towards the sun and join Color Run!

NU SKIN Force for Good Accompany Service users in Love Wan Fun Center to Find the Life
In May, in Taiwan Lu Meiwen and Li Huilan, Ruby Executive, Wu Min, Lapis Executive, Lai Guilan, Lapis Executive,and Zhou Zhenfen, formed a volunteer team, and went to Love Wan Fun center to accompany the service users to do painting, drawing the true self.
The center mainly offers social welfare service to those suffering moderate and severe somatopsychic disturbance, and aims at improving their abilities. Taipei Love Wan Fun Center is named after its location and target users. Social workers said that since Wanfang community is completely equipped with service organizations like supermarket, post office, and park etc., service users can learn how to engage in their services, and thus be better incorporated into the society. For example, they can save money in the post office, which not only allows the service users to know how to fill in the deposit slip, learn more about deposit but also gives them the chance to communicate with the staffs. Besides, social workers of the center explained the classes and environments, and the courses they designed for the service users, which helps to improve their abilities.
In today’s activity, social workers prepared many paper, color pencils, printed pictures of different faces, and accessories so business partners can accompany the service users to draw their appearance. Some service users tried to paint their present looking and paid much attention to the details like color and shape of the clothes. Some tried to paint themselves going to a party in red dress with beautiful earrings. And some also painted their parents, the father wearing handsome badge, and mother taking fashion handbag, which touched the partners a lot.
Lu Meiwen attended many corporate activities recently and it is her second time to be the volunteer. Some service users remembered her. She said,” I feel happy to see the familiar face. Actually, when I am volunteering, I don’t feel I am serving people, while the happy atmosphere can let me have a great afternoon.” It is also Wu Min’s second volunteer service, she said, “I am more experienced this time, knowing how much I need to do. I can try my best to be an assistant, but not interfering too much. I respect everyone as an individual person.”
Lai Guilan hoped she can be a volunteer every month, “I can feel their happiness and sadness when accompanying them. They can feel happy through our company and we will also feel satisfied for being needed.” Li Huilan has never attended the service before, “I feel glad to be a volunteer and participated in the painting. The children’s hard work worth recognition. In our daily lives, there are many more that may need help. I am so honoured to be able to make my own contribution.”
We would like to thank all the above NU SKIN family members for their kind attendance and also look forward to more people joining the volunteer activities to be a Force for Good, which spreads love and care.

NU SKIN Volunteer Team - Half Day Tour at Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens
On April 24, 2014, the NU SKIN Volunteer Team with a total of 11 volunteers led 16 kids from the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children , visiting the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Let the kids experience the beauty of nature and know different kinds of animal. The kids were excited and kept moving and look around in the gardens. After the visit, the volunteers and the kids had a yummy lunch at a restaurant. They have had a very pleasant and meaningful morning.
The NU SKIN volunteers who attended the activity are as below (listed not in sequence): Kam Po (Captain), Lau Ying Wai, Lee Ka Po, Huen Fung Yee, To Wing San, Yu Kam Chuen, Wong Yuet Kuen, Cheng Tak Hing, Yip Wing Chi, Lau Ching Yi and Bak Siu Kam.

“Let the kids to experience the world, to meet new friends, to take photos, to see the animals and fountain, and to paint in the gardens. This is a pleasant experience to their growth. I feel blessed with my family. I hope to share the happiness with others and give my best wishes to the kids. ” Kam Po said.
“The service target was always the students of primary school in my past volunteer experience. All the kids I meet today are very young. They are cute and well-behaved. They can have meal by themselves eat quite a lot! I will certainly participate in the volunteer activities again if there is an opportunity. ” Huen Fung Yee said.
“My children have grown up. When I was playing with kids today, it made me to think of the old beautiful moments when my children still were small. I feel happy and warm when playing with the kids. I hope that there will be an opportunity to participate in the activities in the future. I thank Force For Good Foundation for the arrangement.” Yu Kam Chuen said.
“This is the first time for me to be a volunteer. It is meaningful to me. Although it is not a sunny day and it drizzles, I still have a joyful time with the kids. If I have the opportunity again, I am willing to participate in such activities again! ” Cheng Tak Hing said.
“The kids are energetic and cute. I am very happy to join the volunteer team. Although the volunteers only make little efforts, we hope the kids can feel our love and warmness.” Bak Siu Kam said.

NU SKIN Volunteer Team - Glass Accessories DIY Workshop
With the mission of “empowering people to improve lives”, NU SKIN does not only commit to the research and development of innovative high-quality products, but also strongly encourage our NU SKIN business partners and staff to uphold the Force for Good spirit, helping the children with congenital heart disease. Since Mother’s Day is coming, on May 3, 2014 (Saturday), one of the NU SKIN Volunteer Teams with a total of 15 members brought 20 children from the Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) to participate in the glass accessories DIY workshop. During the activity, the volunteers and children learnt how to make and paint the glass accessories. The volunteers encouraged the children to be creative and make attempt bravely in order to enhance their self-confidence. This activity not only provided a learning opportunity for those children with congenital heart disease to experience the fun of the DIY workshop, but the most important thing was to encourage the children to communicate with the volunteers so that they can feel the care and love of the volunteers. After the activity, the children presented their artwork to their mothers as Mother's Day gift. All of them were satisfied with smiles and have had a happy afternoon.
