Nu Skin Volunteer Team
Hong Kong Flower Show 2013
Being the anti-aging pioneer in the market, NU SKIN cares about our
child all the time too. On March 19 (Tuesday), one of the Nu Skin
Volunteer Teams with 10 people brought 16 children from the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children (HKSPC)
to visit the Flower Show at Hong Kong Victoria Park. Both the
volunteers and children were attracted by the great variety of colorful
flowers. The volunteers were very patient to teach children knowledge
about flowers. The activity did not only let the children to enjoy the
outdoor fresh air in the fine spring day, but also bring them love and
care from our volunteers. Both of them spent a fruitful morning
together!
The Nu Skin Volunteers who attended the activity are as below (Listed
not in sequence): Marina Li (Captain), Shirley Chan (Vice-Captain),
Polly Chong, Jenny Hung, May Li, Thomas Tsang, Tseung Pui Chun, Grace
Tsui, William Tsui and Yingie Yu. Thanks for some of their sharing as
below:
"I think this is a very meaningful activity which can make children
smile. I hope I could participate in more volunteer activities in order
to help children in need!" Marina Li said.
"Those kids are very cute, and they can take care of themselves.
Although it was hot in this morning, kids were still very happy for
this outing! At lunch time, delicious food gave them good appetites.
Thanks NU SKIN for the arrangement. Volunteers and the kids spent a
fruitful morning together." Shirley Chan said.
"I am glad that I can get along well with those young kids as I haven't got this chance for long time." Polly Chong said.
"Each child has unique personality. I hope every child can become an
all-rounded grownup through different activities and lead a better life
in the future." Jenny Hung said.
"Bringing children to explore the outside world is a very meaningful thing." May Li said.
"Thanks for the arrangement! The children were very well-behaved. They
need attention and love from others. The activity provided them not
only a valuable chance to explore, but also chance to learn the
interpersonal skills." Thomas Tsang said.
"Kids are very energetic and active. They are also very friendly. One
of the kids took the initiative to kiss another sad child on his cheek
and gave him a handshake." Yingie Yu said.
