Patrick and Marguerite Sung from Potomac, Maryland, had a very tangible “why” that helped keep them motivated when they became distributors over 24 years ago: a new house. Although Marguerite was an IT department project supervisor of a major U.S. airline and Patrick was a senior legal counsel with a multinational oil company, they needed extra income to pay for the house. Every weekend they would go to the development to motivate themselves. “The new house was beckoning us to get moving in the business,” the Sungs say. “It was saying to us, ‘This is nice, isn’t it? You want to live here … you need to continue moving in NU SKIN.’”

And move forward they did. Eventually their NU SKIN income had grown to the point where Marguerite could leave her job. Later Patrick joined her full-time in the business. And even though they are now very successful, they feel very strongly that they must continue to lead by example. “We are still actively holding meetings to help distributors build their businesses, particularly in the Washington, DC, area,” they say. “Our goal is to make this area a hotbed for NU SKIN.”

Patrick and Marguerite have always been very dedicated to their business, to the point where Patrick was willing to put his face “on the line.” For four years he applied Celltrex^® to one side of his face to show the difference the product can make—action that helped their business expand. 2014 Taiwan Olympic Run Exclusive Presents for NU SKIN Runners

2014 Taiwan Olympic Run will be held at Taiwan New Taipei Citizen Plaza on June 8. It was the 6th time NU SKIN being the chief Sponsor Enterprise and worked with the New Taipei Government to hold the Color Run. So far, all groups registration have completed. This year, it is estimated that there will be 12,000 runners . The number of NU SKIN runners also reached the record breaking 2,000 people. Let run towards the sun and join Color Run!

NU SKIN runners should keep in mind that the admission will be started on May 23. Business partners can check in at NU SKIN Plaza, Taipei and collect essential materials during May 23 and May 24. NU SKIN Volunteer Team - Half Day Tour at Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens

On 24th April 2014, the NU SKIN Volunteer Team with a total of 11 volunteers led 16 kids from the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children , visiting the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Let the kids experience the beauty of nature and know different kinds of animal. The kids were excited and kept moving and look around in the gardens. After the visit, the volunteers and the kids had a yummy lunch at a restaurant. They have had a very pleasant and meaningful morning.

The NU SKIN volunteers who attended the activity are as below (listed not in sequence): Kam Po (Captain), Lau Ying Wai, Lee Ka Po, Huen Fung Yee, To Wing San, Yu Kam Chuen, Wong Yuet Kuen, Cheng Tak Hing, Yip Wing Chi, Lau Ching Yi and Bak Siu Kam.

¡§Let the kids to experience the world, to meet new friends, to take photos, to see the animals and fountain, and to paint in the gardens. This is a pleasant experience to their growth. ¡§The service target was always the students of primary school in my past volunteer experience. All the kids I meet today are very young. They are cute and well-behaved. They can have meal by themselves eat quite a lot! I will certainly participate in the volunteer activities again if there is an opportunity. ¡¨ Huen Fung Yee said.

¡§My children have grown up. When I was playing with kids today, it made me to think of the old beautiful moments when my children still were small. I feel happy and warm when playing with the kids. I hope that there will be an opportunity to participate in the activities in the future. I thank Force For Good Foundation for the arrangement.¡¨ Yu Kam Chuen said.

¡§This is the first time for me to be a volunteer. It is meaningful to me. Although it is not a sunny day and it drizzles, I still have a joyful time with the kids. If I have the opportunity again, I am willing to participate in such activities again! ¡¨ Cheng Tak Hing said.

¡§The kids are energetic and cute. I am very happy to join the volunteer team. Although the volunteers only make little efforts, we hope the kids can feel our love and warmness.¡¨ Bak Siu Kam said.

NU SKIN Volunteer Team - Glass Accessories DIY Workshop

With the mission of “empowering people to improve lives”, NU SKIN does not only commit to the research and development of innovative high-quality products, but also strongly encourage our NU SKIN business partners and staff to uphold the Force for Good spirit, helping the children with congenital heart disease. Since Mother’s Day is coming, on May 3, 2014 (Saturday), one of the NU SKIN Volunteer Teams with a total of 15 members brought 20 children from the Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF) to participate in the glass accessories DIY workshop. During the activity, the volunteers and children learnt how to make and paint the glass accessories. The volunteers encouraged the children to be creative and make attempt bravely in order to enhance their self-confidence. This activity not only provided a learning opportunity for those children with congenital heart disease to experience the fun of the DIY workshop, but the most important thing was to encourage the children to communicate with the volunteers so that they can feel the care and love of the volunteers. After the activity, the children presented their artwork to their mothers as Mother's Day gift. All of them were satisfied with smiles and have had a happy afternoon.
